M7 Infrared Bed

At Sportsól, we are excited to offer our customers new technology and a new experience.

Thousands of Icelanders regularly use infrared cabins and report positive effects on both body and mind. The M7 infrared bed is built on the same principles but takes things a step further. Unlike most infrared cabins, the M7 features Full Spectrum infrared technology, delivering near-, mid-, and far-infrared wavelengths.

These wavelengths penetrate deeper into the body's connective tissue, joints, and muscles and are distributed evenly across the entire body. As a result, the effects are stronger and can be experienced more quickly.

Maximum benefits can be achieved in as little as 15 minutes. We also offer 20- and 30-minute sessions for those who prefer longer treatments. The M7 surrounds the body with even and continuous light energy from all directions. Because the body is positioned very close to the red light wavelengths, the treatment becomes more effective.

Most infrared cabins take time to warm up and generally rely only on far-infrared wavelengths. The M7 bed emits near-, mid-, and far-infrared wavelengths simultaneously, resulting in deeper and more powerful effects. It should be noted that near- and mid-infrared wavelengths are considered just as safe for the body as far-infrared wavelengths.

What can the M7 infrared bed do for you?

  • Research suggests that near-infrared wavelengths may stimulate the body's collagen production.
  • Improved blood circulation and oxygen delivery to muscles and tissues.
  • May help reduce inflammation and support immune system function.
  • May help relieve back and joint pain.
  • Faster recovery after physical stress and exercise.
  • May reduce muscle tension and post-workout soreness.
  • Deeper relaxation and reduced stress.
  • Less sweating compared to traditional infrared cabins.

The M7 infrared bed has been tested and evaluated by the Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority. The results confirm that the bed does not emit UV radiation like traditional tanning beds.

The Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority nevertheless strongly recommends that individuals do not use an infrared bed and a traditional tanning bed on the same day, as doing so may place excessive stress on the skin and increase the risk of irritation.

Children and adolescents under the age of 16 are not advised to use the infrared bed. Younger individuals generally have more sensitive skin, which may react more strongly to heat exposure and increase the risk of skin irritation or discomfort.
