Responsibility and contact
Sportsól ehf., company ID 531023-0480, is responsible for processing enquiries addressed to Sportsól. Locations: Hamraborg 16 and Hverafold 1–3. Contact us about enquiries or privacy at noreplysportsol@gmail.com.
When you contact us
We use your email address, name if supplied, and message to respond and follow up. Requests relating to services are processed to enter into or perform a contract; other general enquiries are handled on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to correspondence. You choose what to send, but we need a reply address and sufficient information to handle your enquiry. Please do not include sensitive health information in general enquiries.
Email, bookings and payments
The email button opens your email application. Your mail provider sends your message to Sportsól’s Gmail mailbox, provided by Google. Booking and Frelsi links open Noona, where the relevant terms and privacy information apply. This website does not collect payment card details or signed membership contracts. Membership is arranged in person.
Cookies and measurement
On sportsol.is, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure visits, page views and clicks on booking, telephone and Frelsi links. They load only after you consent to analytics. Google receives information including the page, browser, device, language, visit source and cookie identifiers. Processing relies on consent. A Noona click does not confirm an appointment or purchase.
If you also consent to advertising, visits and clicks may be linked to Google Ads for advertising measurement and personalised ads according to Google settings. Advertising identifiers from URLs are sent only with advertising consent. Previews have measurement disabled except during explicit testing. You can reject all optional measurement and continue using the website.
Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_<identifier> cookies to distinguish browsers and visits. Their default lifetime is two years and may renew on a visit; browsers can shorten this. See Google’s cookie information for additional advertising measurement cookies. Your language choice is stored as sportsol-language until you change it or clear browser data.
The current Analytics retention setting is 14 months for user and event data. User identifier retention renews with new activity. This setting does not limit standard aggregated reports. The Sportsól owner and authorised marketing managers have access to measurement data. See also how Google uses data from partner sites.
Retention and providers
The owner of Sportsól and their marketing team have access to the mailbox to handle enquiries. Completed general enquiries are deleted six months after the matter is closed, unless further retention is necessary for a contract, legal obligation or legal claim. Hosting and security data are retained according to providers’ operational needs and legal obligations; see Vercel’s privacy notice.
Hosting and operation
Vercel hosts this website. When you open a page, Vercel receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and page request to deliver and protect the site. Operation and security rely on legitimate interests in providing a reliable service.
Providers and data transfers
Vercel and Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Vercel describes transfer safeguards in its data processing terms; Google in its privacy policy. These explain the applicable safeguards. You can ask Sportsól for further information.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact noreplysportsol@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
Your cookie choices are stored in your browser for up to 180 days. You can change them or reject optional measurement through “Cookie settings” in the footer. New consent will be requested when optional measurement changes.
